This matters because a sense of place and identity are important in this impressive literary mystery. The story follows Adana as she moves to New Orleans and writes a science fiction/fantasy bestseller. Two generations later, her grandson and a friend seek a manuscript that may be the only copy of Adana's unpublished second novel.
